Terms & Conditions

These terms set out the agreement between you and Rise & Lead Institute when you use our website, digital products, programmes and mentorship services.

Last updated 9 September 2026

1. Who you are contracting with

This website and all products offered on it are operated by Rise & Lead Institute (“Rise & Lead”, “we”, “us”, “our”). When you create an account, purchase a product or take part in a programme, you enter into an agreement with Rise & Lead Institute.

2. Acceptance of these terms

By accessing the site, creating an account, or continuing to use any Rise & Lead product or service, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please stop using the service. You confirm that you are of legal age to enter into this agreement, and where you are acting for an organisation, that you have authority to bind it.

3. What we provide

Rise & Lead provides digital career guidance tools, structured self-paced programmes, diagnostic assessments and reports, and human mentorship delivered through the Member Portal. Access to a given product depends on the plan, programme or purchase associated with your account.

We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the service and its materials for your own personal or internal professional development, within the plan you have selected.

4. Guidance, not professional advice

Our assessments, reports, lessons and mentorship are provided for general career development purposes. They are not legal, financial, medical, tax or employment-law advice, and they are not a recommendation to resign, accept, decline or pursue any particular role. Decisions about your career remain yours, and you are responsible for the outcomes of those decisions. Where a decision has legal, financial or health implications, seek qualified professional advice.

5. Your account

  • Provide accurate information and keep it up to date.
  • Keep your sign-in details confidential. You are responsible for activity carried out under your account.
  • Tell us promptly if you suspect unauthorised access.

6. Acceptable use

You must not misuse the service. In particular, you must not:

  • use the service for unlawful purposes;
  • engage in fraud, spam or misrepresentation;
  • infringe the intellectual property or privacy rights of others;
  • interfere with the security or integrity of the service, including introducing malware, probing, penetration testing without consent, or scraping;
  • reverse engineer, resell, redistribute or share access to paid content, or circumvent technical or plan limits;
  • record, republish or share mentorship sessions or another participant’s personal information without consent.

7. Intellectual property

Rise & Lead Institute retains ownership of the platform and all of its intellectual property, including software, assessments, scoring methodologies, programme content, reports, templates, documentation and branding (including Rise & Lead Career Mentorship™ and Before You Quit™). Nothing in these terms transfers ownership to you.

8. Your content

You retain ownership of the reflections, answers, uploads and other content you submit. You grant us a limited licence to host and process that content solely to provide the service to you, including generating your results, reports and portfolio, and enabling mentorship where applicable.

9. Payment and subscription terms

Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com. Paddle.com is the Merchant of Record for all our orders. Paddle provides all customer service inquiries and handles returns.

Payment, billing, applicable taxes, renewals, cancellations and refunds are handled in accordance with Paddle’s Buyer Terms. Our own refund commitment is set out in our Refund Policy.

10. Service availability

We work to keep the platform available and accurate, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free performance. Features may change, and maintenance or third-party outages may temporarily affect access.

11. Warranties and liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all implied warranties, including merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose. We are not liable for indirect, consequential or special loss, including loss of profits, income, data or goodwill.

Our total aggregate liability is limited to the amount you paid to us in the twelve months before the event giving rise to the claim. Nothing in these terms excludes liability for fraud, death or personal injury where that exclusion is not permitted by law.

12. Indemnity

You agree to indemnify Rise & Lead Institute against claims arising from your unlawful use of the service, content you submit, or your breach of these terms.

13. Suspension and termination

We may suspend or terminate access where there is material breach of these terms, non-payment, a security or fraud risk, or repeated or serious policy violations. You may stop using the service at any time.

When access ends, you may request an export of your portfolio and report data within 30 days, after which we may delete or anonymise it in line with our Privacy Notice.

14. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as our products evolve. Where changes are material, we will make the updated terms available on this page with a new “last updated” date, and continued use means acceptance.

15. General

You may not assign your rights under these terms without our consent; we may assign ours as part of a merger, acquisition or reorganisation. Neither party is liable for delays caused by events beyond reasonable control. These terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which Rise & Lead Institute is established, and the courts of that jurisdiction have exclusive jurisdiction over disputes.

16. Contact

Rise & Lead Institute can be contacted at hello@riseandlead.fit or through the Member Portal. Billing and refund enquiries can also be raised directly with Paddle at paddle.net.
